ADA Tech / Frequently Asked Questions

Before you hand over
your device.

Clear answers about diagnostics, repair work, Windows and Office licensing, data handling, parts, follow-up, remote support, complaints and ADA Service Records.

ADA Tech's standard device diagnostic starts at N$120. Where an approved repair or service of N$350 or more follows, the diagnostic fee can be waived. More complex faults may require a separate quote.
It depends on the fault, parts availability and whether further testing is needed. ADA Tech does not promise a fixed repair time before diagnosis. You will be told what has been found and what the next step is before additional work is approved.
Yes. ADA Tech works on laptops and desktop computers, including diagnostics, Windows and software issues, storage and memory upgrades, drivers, BIOS/UEFI, performance problems and selected hardware faults.
Yes. ADA Tech can install or reinstall supported Windows versions, drivers, updates and essential utilities. Activation is only performed using an existing valid digital entitlement or a legitimate licence that you already own or that is separately quoted.
No, unless the written quote explicitly includes a legitimate licence. The service price covers technical work. ADA Tech does not use pirated or grey-market activation keys.
Yes. ADA Tech can install Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365 and activate it using a valid licence or subscription belonging to the client. Paid Microsoft licences are separate unless included in a written quote.
ADA Tech tries to avoid unnecessary data loss and will explain when a repair could affect stored files. Clients should disclose important data before work begins. Backup and migration can be added where needed. No technician can guarantee recovery of data from a failing or damaged drive.
Only when backup or migration is part of the approved service. The Complete Device Refresh includes basic backup and restore up to 50GB. Larger or complex data jobs may be quoted separately.
Yes, where the device supports the upgrade. Installation labour starts from N$180. Hardware and parts are quoted separately unless the written quotation states otherwise.
Yes. ADA Tech provides remote support across Namibia where the issue can be handled safely over an internet connection. Remote work always requires the client's permission before access begins.
Yes. ADA Tech supports router and Wi-Fi setup, printers, workstation setup, Windows/software issues and general small-business technology problems. Larger networks and infrastructure are assessed before a quote is issued.
ADA First Aid is a monthly device-care and support relationship. It provides defined remote support, maintenance checks and labour discounts depending on the selected plan. It is not insurance and does not include unlimited physical repairs, replacement parts or paid software licences.
Yes. Use the Existing Client Desk and choose Priority Support. Returning-client status helps ADA Tech understand the history, but priority is reviewed against workload, severity, warranty/rework status and active care-plan coverage.
Use the Existing Client Desk and select Warranty / Rework. Include the previous job or Service Record reference and explain what changed. ADA Tech will review whether the new symptom is related to the original work before deciding the next action.
Use the Existing Client Desk and select Complaint. This creates a tracked ticket so the issue is recorded, reviewed and updated instead of being lost in informal messages.
It is a private digital handover record created after a completed ADA Tech job. It can show the device, type of service, work summary, result and follow-up note. The client receives a private link and QR code, plus direct actions to review the service or request help again.
No. Service Records and ticket history use private access tokens. Public Case Files and verified reviews are separate and are only published deliberately.
ADA Tech may document technical work as a Case File, but identifying client information should only be displayed when appropriate and with permission. Case Files are intended to show the technical issue, diagnosis, intervention and result.
